Ashley Hocutt PT, DPT
Specializing in Women's Health
Ashley has always had a passion for the health care field and physical therapy was the perfect blend of healing, science and art. Upon receiving her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Columbia University in 2008, she began practicing in outpatient settings with patients ranging in age from 3 months to 94 years old. She has and continues to treat a variety of diagnoses, but since the birth of her children, she has found joy in empowering other women through their child bearing journey and thereafter. Whether it is to relieve back pain throughout the pregnancy, educate and train women on the most efficient postures during and after child bearing to avoid injury, or to reduce a Rectus Diastasis (separation of the abdominal muscles) and restore core initiation/strength. She will strive to attain the patient's goals and provide them with the knowledge and awareness to independently maintain their achievements.
It is her philosophy that every part of the human anatomy is interactive; therefore, she aspires to provide an extensive holistic approach to aid in rehabilitation. As a physical therapist, her role is to provide skilled care to restore function, mobility and a healthy lifestyle. She has developed an expertise in unique manual therapy techniques with extensive continuing education studies through the Institute of Physical Arts. She is also enhancing her skills with pelvic floor dysfunction through the Herman and Wallace Institute for pelvic floor rehabilitation.
